Setting goals for 2014!

Before we start, I wish you all the best for 2014. I also hoped that you had fun celebrating the New Year. I did!

Have you set your New Year goals, yet? I’m still working on putting mine in words. Last year, I selected five areas for my year plan. In retrospective, 5 areas are too much which is why I will try this year the 3-word system of Chris Brogan. Selecting three words (nouns or verbs) seems more focused and easier to follow for a year.

In retrospect, 2013 was a little bit weird for me professionally. I accomplished many things but I also thought a lot. My husband jokes that I thought too much. Frankly, it is right about last year. Due to several circumstances, there were too much back and forth, especially in the first half of 2013. At the end, nothing was wasted since it allowed me to rebrand myself and to concentrate on what is important to me. Now I can focus on making it happen. By the way, have you noticed that I made a few changes to the Web site earlier this week?

I don’t have give a thought yet on what my three words for 2014 will be. What I know for sure is that my three words will be about the how. What about you?

Update: Find out what what my three words for 2014 are.

This is the first year I’m taking resolutions seriously; so seriously, in fact, that I’ve set 5 of them, and I’m approaching them like S.M.A.R.T. goals. But maybe it’s worth going back to them, and seeing if the 3 Word System can fit in with them.

CT, I encourage you to do it. I feel that condensing them force you to identify the heart of what you try to accomplish.
